Well, it's been a while, hasn't it? I've been super busy with work and not work. Let's see what there is to talk about.
First off, the newest member of my little family is "Flash"

Tiny little fella, isn't he? Or she? I'm not sure yet, and won't know until its about 4 inches SCL (straightline carapace length). I named it Flash cuz its really fast and has yellow streaks on its face. Flash is a Red-bellied slider turtle. It just showed up. I had nothing to do with it. I was outside one day checking up on Jughead in his new habitat when I spotted it. I keep a bunch of stuff on the floor next to the tank, like food in their containers, an extra light reflector, dip net, filter cartridges, etc. Well, Flash was latched onto the chrome reflector, which I almost didn't see him, because he was dry and chalky looking. He had been out of the water a while. I don't know where he came from, but now he and Jughead are buds.

Jughead, also whom is a teeny tiny turtle. It's a red-eared slider, much like Zoe.

That would be the entire family. Don't mind their food. I keep them together at night, and in my room. It gives you an idea of their size differences. Of course, Zoe's coming up on a one year birthday of when I bought her. She's getting a pond eventually, probably will be a couple of months.
What else? Ah, its been raining like crazy. For about a week or longer. Last Wednesday morning, it stormed something fierce, knocking down trees, power lines, and sending sheds and trampolines bouncing down streets, tearing them up something awful. It's been too wet to work. And it's supposed to rain all this week.
I love my movies and tv shows. Just finished the season finale of House, MD, which was crazy. Can't wait for the next two eps of NCIS. Watched The Uninvited, which was a bad ass psychological horror thriller, and the Battlestar Galactica spin off movie pilot, Caprica, which was awesome. I can't wait to see that show. Another show I'm a huge HUGE fan of is Eureka! I can't get enough. It's always sad to see "I Do Over" where Nathan Stark dies. I can't wait for July when Eureka returns to SciFi, but on Friday night.
My writing has been on a halt, sort of. I haven't had interest in writing much. I love my novel, but I dunno what's come over me. Though, I did start a re-write of Retreat. I work on a page or two a day, writing it into four parts which are about 7 pages long, or around 4,000 words. Hopefully I keep writing it this time. I think I keep growing as a writer, and like to reinvent or make better my older, failed writings.
Current books: The Loch by Steve Alten. I've been reading it slowly, since yesterday. I read the prologue and worked through the very thick Scottish accent in the dialogue. One such line being: "Dinnae be a fool, ye dinnae ken whit ye're sayin'. The cave I've in mind leads tae Hell, guarded by the De'il's ain minions." and others: "No ye willnae!" and "There's a cave, a day's walk frae here, known only tae the Templar. If Cooncil agrees, then I'll take the casket there and---" So, yeah. Being called The Loch, you know its about Loch Ness. A marine biologist, Zachary Wallace, who suffered a near-drowning experience on the Loch. Now, the long-forgotten memories of that experience begin to haunt him. The truth surrounding those memories lie with his estranged father who is on trial for murder. they take a plunge into a world where the legend of Loch Ness shows its true face. All paraphrased from the back of the book. Should be a good read.
More to come later. I'll try to post more frequently.

Oooh, that's good to hear! I haven't seen it yet, haven't been sure whether or not I'll bother with it.

Hehe.. I'm just trying to convert my aunt/uncle/cousin to Eureka. It's a great show. Only seen the first season so far though.

I think you should see Caprica. The ending sucks that it must be "continued," but it is a pilot to a series. As for Eureka, I hope you see season two and the first half of three. The second half is sometime this summer. It's nice to know someone with the same interests in tv series.

M'kay, I'll keep that in mind. Though I don't see myself catching up for awhile. I'm focusing on a few other shows atm. CSI NY, Chuck, few others.
